SRVO-027: Robot not mastered

Calibration was attempted before mastering was completed for the named group - the robot doesn't yet have its axis reference data, so calibration has nothing to work from.

What it means

Calibration was attempted before mastering was completed for the named group - the robot doesn't yet have its axis reference data, so calibration has nothing to work from.

Common causes

Ranked by what technicians most often find, most likely first.

  1. Mastering never performed or was lost (battery/BZAL events, motor replacement).
  2. On Dispense systems, this alarm's severity is raised to ABORT by default, which surprises people who expect a warning.

How to fix it

  1. Perform mastering from SYSTEM > Master/Cal, then calibrate.
  2. On Dispense systems where a group's mastering is intentionally skipped, lower SRVO-027's severity back to default on the Error Severity screen.
  3. After mastering, verify positions carefully before running programs - a mis-mastered robot moves confidently to the wrong places.
