SRVO-070: STBERR alarm (pulse coder framing error)
The start/stop bits of the encoder's serial data are wrong - a framing error on the feedback line.
What it means
The start/stop bits of the encoder's serial data are wrong - a framing error on the feedback line. Third member of the DTERR/CRCERR family; same diagnosis.
Common causes
Ranked by what technicians most often find, most likely first.
- Same suspect list as SRVO-068: connectors, shield grounding, cabling, encoder, amplifier.
How to fix it
- Work the SRVO-068 remedy sequence. Power-cycle to clear. When any of the 068/069/070 trio appears, also disregard simultaneous RCAL/CSAL-type encoder alarms until communication is fixed - they're often phantoms of the same fault.
